ROTARY Club members have raised money for a charity cafe to help it to buy kitchen equipment.
Although Darlington Rotary Club meetings have been suspended until the new year because of the holiday period, members have continued to support good causes in the town.
President Bob Whitehouse visited Cafe JJ in the Clifton Centre in St Columba’s Church, in Clifton Road, where he met members of the charity.
He said: “They all have learning difficulties, but gain a lot of satisfaction from the work they do, which includes cooking on a Monday, running the cafe on a Tuesday and delivering food to offices in the town on a Wednesday.
“The cafe is open over the lunchtime every Tuesday and they would welcome more visitors.”
