A 25-year-old man has been charged with the attempted murder of a fellow prisoner at a North-East jail.
Carl Wilson will appear before South East Northumberland Magistrates’ Court today following an incident at HMP Acklington in Northumberland on Wednesday.
Police said a 57-year-old prisoner is in a stable condition in hospital after being assaulted. His injuries are not life threatening.
