A FIFTEEN-YEAR-OLD boy has suffered head injuries in a road traffic accident.
The accident happened on Aberdeen Road, Ouston, near Chester-le-Street, County Durham, at just after 7.40pm on Friday evening.
A VW Golf was travelling at low speed down Aberdeen Road when it reached the cut directly opposite Abingdon and Argyll Street.
The teenager ran from the cut and and made contact with the car.
He was taken to the University Hospital of North Durham, suffering head injuries. The driver of the car was uninjured.
Police are seeking witnesses to the accident, particularly a couple who were walking a dog nearby.
