A BONNET parade brought back memories of family Easters for residents of a Bishop Auckland care home.
Decades after she made hats and dyed eggs with her own children, great- grandmother Norah Hogg, 92, came up with the winning entry in a competition at the Sandringham Care Home in Escomb Road.
Her straw hat, trimmed with flowers and eggshells, was chosen by judge Councillor Barbara Laurie.
Kay Hay was second and Eleanor Hughf, third.
Decorated egg winners were Bella Beech, Alf Greenwood and Phyllis Briggs.
Everybody who entered the competition was given a chocolate egg.
Joan Purcell, who manages the 90-bed home, said: "This is our first Easter and everybody enjoyed joining in.
"They all made eggs with their children, so it was a nice thing for them to do all these things years later."
