VIOLINIST Gerald Gregory is to perform in a concert today to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the birth of Mozart.
Mr Gregory, a graduate of the Northern College of Music who has performed across Europe and North America, will perform Mozart's 5th Violin Concerto, with the Northern Camerata Orchestra, at the Brooms RC Church, in Leadgate.
The Derwentside Choral Society concert takes place at 7.30pm, conducted by Jim McAvoy.
The concert, which also includes Mozart's Vespers K339 and the Coronation Mass in C, features soprano Teresa Troiani, tenor Anthony Grylls, contralto Christina Dewhurst and bass Michael Gardner.
Admission is £7 or £5 for concessions.
