A BENCH has been dedicated to the memory of former Richmond mayoress Elaine Hendren, who died aged 73 in July 2004.
She was a stalwarad supporter of the annual Richmond Meet festival, and last Sunday, members of the committee dedicated a bench to her memory, overlooking the River Swale.
A service, conducted by the Reverend Ruth Wigram, was attended by her widower, Jack, family, friends, members of the Richmond Meet committee and the chairman of the local parish council.
