AN exhibition of the work by an acclaimed lecturer and artist has gone on show at her former university.
Margaret Shaw, a former lecturer in fine art at King's College, Durham, died in 1982, at the age of 62.
She studied with well-known English painters Paul and John Nash, in London, and was a member of the Royal Society of Painters in Watercolours.
Following her stint in Durham, she also became a senior lecturer at Sheffield College of Art and Design.
A selection of her work is on show at Grey College, in Durham, running at the South Road campus until Sunday, March 19.

Organiser Henry Dyson, a fellow of Grey College, said although it has staged many exhibitions over the years, the Margaret Shaw display was "something special".
