RESIDENTS are being asked for their views on more than 400 possible development sites.

Roadshows are being held in towns and villages across Hambleton to discuss locations for houses, businesses, play areas and health centres.

Sites for up to 320 homes a year may be needed, as well as about 40 hectares of additional employment land. The roadshows are the latest stage in the formation of a new Hambleton development plan.

Once adopted, the plan will guide all developments in the district until 2021, taking into account the existing district-wide and area plans.

There will be public meetings in Northallerton, Bedale, Stokesley, Easingwold and Thirsk along with day-long exhibitions.

The exhibition will also visit Leeming Bar, Crakehall, Snape, West Tanfield, Topcliffe, Carlton Miniott, Brompton, East Cowton, Morton-on-Swale, Hutton Rudby, Great Broughton, Great Ayton, Husthwaite, Helperby, Stillington and Shipton.

The station will have exhibitions relating to each area and will be manned by council officers.

Dates and times for the exhibition are available at www. hambleton.gov.uk or in the October edition of Hambleton News.
