FRESH plans have been submitted for a new medical centre in a North Yorkshire village.
A planning application for the two-storey building in Scorton has been submitted to Richmondshire District Council.
The development, in High Row, Scorton, would include a reception area, waiting room, consulting rooms downstairs, multi-purpose rooms upstairs and a car park.
It would replace an existing facility in High Row, Scorton.
A previous planning application for a medical centre was rejected because the development was too far away from existing buildings in the village.
Seven residents have objected to the development.
Their concerns include access, pedestrian safety on nearby roads, inadequate sewage facilities and worries about the look of the development.
However, planning officers are recommending the new application is accepted.
Councillors will discuss the medical centre at a meeting on Tuesday.
