THREE disabled athletes from the same school are hoping for glory in October's Para-Olympics in Sydney.
Les Allison is at Sunderland's Barbara Priestman School for youngsters with physical disabilities and other difficulties.
The 18-year-old, who comes from Houghton-le-Spring, will represent his country in the 200m and 400m wheelchair race.
Ex-pupil Hazel Robson, 20, of Sunderland, a sprinter, is also in the squad and Nichola Jarvis, also 20 and from the city, will compete in the 100m and 200m wheelchair events.
Headteacher Bill Hitchcock hopes they get among the medals and says they are role models for others.
