Just two months after clinching a Queen's Award for Enterprise, staff at TNT's Durham depot are celebrating the company's most recent success - winning the 2000 Motor Transport Award for Customer Care.

At a recent gala presentation evening held at the Royal Albert Hall in London, TNT became the first company in the history of the event to win this award three years running.

This unique hat-trick gives TNT a tally of 17 transport industry Oscars in 15 years, four of which are for customer care.

Commenting on the win, Durham depot general manager Richard Mellor said: "I extend my sincere personal thanks to all our staff for showing the dedication, team work and attitude required to consistently exceed our customers' expectations."
