THE beauty and character of the Yorkshire Dales has been captured on film by one of the region's outstanding photographers.
Emma Amsden, of Carperby, near Aysgarth, North Yorkshire, is displaying a series of black and white pictures of the spectacular landscape at an exhibition which is being staged at Mount Grace Priory, near Northallerton.
The 28-year-old's work will be available for viewing at the 600-year-old Carthusian priory until September 29. Her finest photographs are exhibited in the Priory's Manor House.
Emma said: "My aim is to continue to develop my photographic career, but I also want to travel around the world.
"I've already spent time in Italy and Czechoslovakia on assignments and really enjoyed it."
Emma has previously exhibited in Richmond, York and Leeds
