COUNCILLORS have given a young employee top marks for academic success.
Emma Russell, has combined working as a modern apprentice for Spennymoor Town Council with studying for an HNC in business at Bishop Auckland College.
The council congratulated her after learning that she had completed the first part of her course.
Emma, 19, joined the council after leaving Spennymoor School.
