THERE is an opportunity for people in the Owton Rossmere area of Hartlepool to meet their beat police officer tomorrow.
An open day has been organised by Owton Manor Community Police Team and Hartlepool Borough Council's community safety section, at Wynyard Road Community Centre, from 10am to 3pm.
Residents will be able to talk to the police team, which is based in the community centre, and get advice on crime prevention measures.
There will be displays by agencies and groups including Owton Fens Community Association, Manor Residents Association and the Owton Rossmere Partnership. There will be free low energy bulbs on offer to local residents.
The event is funded by Owton Rossmere Partnership's Tackling Crime Together project.
