TWO teenagers who destroyed a North-East school after starting a fire to keep warm are expected to be sentenced today.
James Gomersall, 19, of Cherry Tree Drive, Sedgefield, and a 14-year-old youth who cannot be named for legal reasons, are expected to appear before Teesside Crown Court.
The pair were responsible for a fire which destroyed Hardwick Primary School, in Sedgefield, in January.
Gomersall and the 14-year-old youth admitted arson at an early hearing at Teesside Crown Court.
They also admitted another charge of arson, at The Stables in the village.
The 14-year-old also admitted a charge of stealing two jackets.
Gomersall admitted a charge of handling stolen goods - a Reebok coat.
Sentence was adjourned for the preparation of pre-sentence reports on the pair
