YOUNGSTERS have been taking part in a special event marking East Cleveland's mining history.
The hot metal event at the Tom Leonard Mining Museum in Skinningrove celebrated the rich mineral, metallurgical and mining heritage of the area.
Local blacksmith Alan Ruddell joined forces with artist Aidan Doyle to run a smithy workshop with local school children.
