A SCHEME to promote opportunities for people with learning, physical and mental health disabilities and their carers has been launched by Stockton Borough Council.
To highlight the issues raised in the Welfare to Work agenda, the council is holding two events this week at the town's Alma Centre.
The events are today and tomorrow and are aimed at employers and voluntary sector organisations, service users and their carers.
Experts from the relevant agencies will be on hand to talk to employers about what the council and health service agencies can do to help them in getting people with disabilities into the workplace.
