Lealholm won a place in the draw of the next round of the League cup after coming out on top against Anchor in a good competitive game.Both Brown and Whitwell scored in each half to give Lealholm their 4-0 victory.

After struggling for a team in the first games of the season Boosbeck Utd seem to have found a settled side and this showed in their match against Whitby Fishermans. Martin Myers, making his debut in Boosbeck goal was particularly outstanding. Whitby, who took the lead in the opening minutes, their opening attack causing a mix up in the Boosbeck defence, Wilson taking full advantage. Boosbeck immediately took charge and their efforts paid off ten minutes later when Johnson found the target.Just before half time Boosbeck went ahead when Iseton picked up a loose ball in the box and fired home.Iseton netted his second in the tenth minute of the second half and then Whitby had a late surge, a deflection of Morgan was slotted home by Roberts and with ten minutes to go they were awarded a dubious penalty which was well taken by Storr to equalise. Boosbeck kept pressing, Wong hitting the post and other missed chances but the game remained level.

Brotton entertained leaders Huntsman and began the match in excellent form. After failing to convert a couple of early chances they went ahead in the 30th minute when a through ball from Solomon found the left foot of Bedenfield who fired the ball home from 15 yards at the first attempt. Huntsman had the better of the second half and piled on the pressure.In the 20th minute a fine crossed ball was heading for the Huntsman forwards, McMillan put his foot out and unfortunately netted into his own goal. Despite Huntsman continuing to push forward they couldn't manage to find a way through and the game remained at 1-1.

Great Ayton dominated the first half of their match against Hinderwell who had numerous chances to score but failed to capitalise and it was Hinderwell who were a goal up at the break when Lythe took his chance after a good break.In the second half Ayton changed their tactics and began pushing trhe ball up the wing using Murray and Ripley. In the tenth minute a Collins cross fell for Lane to head home the equaliser.Ten minutes later a Murray cross found Ripley who volleyed past the Hinderwell keeper from ten yards. A further ten minutes a third cross led to Lane's second goal when he tapped the ball in from six yards. Hinderwell then pulled a goal back when Robinson beat four players and beat the keeper.Ripley immediately replied with his second and Ayton's fourth. Final score 4-2.

Highland Laddie took the lead at Grosmont after 15 minutes when a cross from the right wing found Brown who headed home from the edge of the box. On the half hour Laddie were two up when Hall made a fine cross into the box which chipped the keeper. Laddie's third goal was a well worked effort by Powell who finished the move from six yards and gave his club a three goal advantage at the break. Grosmont began the second half in a much better form and within 15 minutes had pulled a goal back when Duck picked up a cross from Theaker and tapped into the net. Hicks then beat two men to score a well taken goal to take the match within Grosmont's grasp. They continued to pressurise but despite numerous chances couldn't snatch the equaliser.

Grangetown still remain unbeaten in the league after completely outclassing Lingdale despite Lingdale playing well. Grangetown's three goal advantage at the break gave them a comfortable lead and a brilliant second half goal from Skelton secured the points. Loftus scored the only goal of the first half when they entertained Boosbeck Athletic, the visitors pulled a goal back in the second session but Loftus netted again to take all three points. Staithes retain third position in the table after a 3-1 win over fourth placed Redcar Mackinlay Park.

Poverina kept up their unbeaten run with a 5-2 victory over Jack and Jill. Jon Pinchbeck put them ahead then their keeper Colin Smith saved a penalty.

Joe Hanratty put Jack and Jill on terms then Stephen Parkes slotted in two to put Poverina 3-1 up. Jack and Jill hit back when C Foxton scored but an own goal restored Poverina's two-goal advantage then Parkes scored his hat-trick to give Poverna the points.

D and E Locksmiths had a runaway 13-3 victory away to Boosbeck St Owens. Lee Freer and Steve Gordon both hit hat-tricks, Tony Knight and Anthony Price each bagged a pair and D Robinson and two own goals making up their 13. For Boosbeck Michael Bennison scored twice and Dean Winter one.

Stockton Double Glazing went down 5-1 at home to Iceland.

An own goal set Iceland on their way and Martin Johnson made it two. Leight Stevens pulled one back for Stockton D G but Iceland hit three more through James McGowan, Craig Owens and Paul Muthana.

Cleveland Inn beat Big W by the same scoreline. Ray Woodhouse scored twice to bring his total to 13 to date. John Ryan hit a brace and Mark Durham one. Phil Taylor scored Big W's consolation.

Haverton Hill and Priestfield fought out a nine-goal thriller.

Priestfield came from behind three times to win. Paul McCulloch got three and Mark McClelland one for Haverton Hill as Peter Fox hit two for Priestfields, Michael Joseph, John Welsh and Chris Rutherford for Priestfields.
