THE Under-11s four match winning streak came to an end on Sunday with a 4-2 home to defeat by Newbottle in a Premier League fixture.

Newbottle were 2-0 up after 15 minutes on a day where Byers struggled to find their usual fluency.

Richard Suddes however pulled one back close to half time, nipping in to take the ball off the goalkeeper's toes and then taking it round him before slotting the ball home from an almost impossible angle. At half time and 2-1 down Byers looked to be back in the hunt, but an early goal from Newbottle made life difficult for the home side.

Byers did however dominate a large portion of the second half but failed to take thier chances before being caught on the break with five minutes remaining to make the score 4-1. Michael Condron managed to pull one back for Byers in the dying minutes with a well struck shot from just inside the penalty area, but unfortunately it came just too late.
