King of light entertainment

Every year, the festive display at his home in Constantine Grove, in the North Yorkshire community of Colburn, is bigger and more spectacular - and this year has been no exception.

Mr Joyce admits he gets as much satisfaction from his lights as the crowds which gather outside his home.

"It is a labour of love, really," he said.

Mr Joyce said he never considers the cost - but his strategy is to snap up more lights in the January sales, which gives him the rest of the year to plan his next display
