Councillor Pat Walker, Mayor of Middlesbrough, might be in a better position to judge than most after meeting a mayor from the land of panto.
Game for a laugh Coun Mrs Walker donned her civic robes for a meeting yesterday with actress Lisa Jane Williams who is appearing as Dick Whittington, the eventual Lord Mayor of London, at the Middlesbrough Little Theatre.
The cast also includes Barbara Hatwell from Brookside, Peter Armitage, who appeared in Coronation Street, and Thornaby-born Mike Burns, who played bumbling handyman Colin in the situation comedy The Brittas Empire.
