THE body of a man in his early thirties was discovered at the bottom of cliffs in North Yorkshire on Sunday.
Three members of the public discovered the body at around 12.30pm at Cowbar, near Staithes.
The police and coastguard were alerted and Staithes lifeboat attended.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene by a doctor on board the lifeboat, before being taken to Middlesbrough General Hospital.
A police spokesman said the man's identity was known, but details were not being released as yet.
The death is not being treated as suspicious, although inquiries are continuing.
