Ex-England international soccer star Alan Shearer made a wish come true for a five-year-old boy who suffers from two life-threatening illnesses.
The Newcastle United striker has teamed up with the Make-a-Wish Foundation to give Jordan McAdam, who suffers from leukaemia and Downs Syndrome, a yellow all-terrain vehicle decorated on a theme of the children's TV character Barney.
Jordan, from Washington, Tyne and Wear met his footballing hero at a ceremony which took place at St James' Park, in Newcastle.
The charity, which is established in over 20 countries across the globe, turns the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses into reality.
The UK Foundation has granted over 1,800 wishes to children aged between three and 18 since it began in 1986 and is currently granting a wish a day
