Crook League - Crook Belle Vue Club maintained their top position in the First Division with an odd point win over the visiting Crook Travellers Rest A.
The Club made their win in the singles where they had points from Jack Walker, Ivor Phillipson, John Warriner and Dave Hakin. The Travellers replied with singles wins from Tony Storey and John Carroll and then they added the doubles through Terry Davies and Tony Storey.
In second place, Crook Mill House are six points adrift of Belle Vue Club but they do have a match in hand. Crook Travellers Rest B are four points adrift of the Belle Vue Club in third place.
Crook Spitfire Club and Crook Jelly's Bar share the top spot in the Second Division although the Club team have two games in hand. Third place is held by Willington Market, who are nine behind the joint leaders.

Tow Law Area League
Wayne Anderson and Shaun McGrath won the deciding doubles for Tow Law New Market B to take them to victory over their visiting near neighbours from Tow Law Cattle Mart. The Market opened out with a win by Alison Boughey but then the Market had four in a row from Tom Dowson, Doris Elsbury, Gavin Tennant and Shaun McGrath. Before Colin Boughey took the final singles for the Mart. The visitors then added the first two doubles to set up the decider.
Newhouse Club lead the table by six points from Esh Football Club, who have played an extra match, but are four ahead of Esh Stag's Head, who have a match in hand.

Reigning champions, Willington Market visited the current leaders and failed to knock them from their perch as they went down by the odd point. The home side raced into a three-point lead with wins from David Thompson, Gary Moffatt and Ian Richardson. The Market fought back well to make the score respectable with wins from Stuart Waymen and Alan McAloon.
The Prospect Club moved up just two points behind Hunwick Club when they only dropped one point to the visiting Willington Brewer's Droop B, who had Carol Hawkins as their only winner. The Prospect's points came from Shaun Blyth, Steven Britton, Phil Blyth and Ces Atkinson.

Willington Area League
Willington Black Horse Tavern entertained Hunwick Quarry Burn in a match where a big win for either team would lift them back among the title challengers. However there was never anything between the teams and it was left to the Quarry Burn's Keith Dufton to beat Peter Taylor to force a draw.
The home side edged ahead in the singles with wins from Davey Hawkins, Aynsley Rainbow and Peter Taylor with the Quarry Burn replying through Alan Bolam and Dave Edmundson. The doubles were shared when Harold Farrer and Peter Taylor won for the home side with Davey Robson and Keith Dufton replying.
Willington Club held on to their three points lead at the top with the Prospect Club moving three points ahead of Sunnybrow Brown Trout, who had a heavy home defeat at the hands of the Victoria Club.
