TWO motorists and a passenger were taken to hospital with injuries following a head-on crash this week.
The crash, at 3.25pm on Monday in Lyden Road, Leechmere, Sunderland, saw the road closed for two hours afterwards.
A Toyota Avensis travelling east round a sharp left-hand bend crossed into the southbound lane and collided with a Vauxhall Beaumont from the other direction.
The Toyota driver suffered chest injuries while the other driver had impact injuries and whiplash and his front seat passenger suffered whiplash and cuts and bruises.
