PETER Mandelson MP visited three businesses in Hartlepool that employ people with learning disabilities and mental health problems.
The Employment Link Team works with about 320 people in paid and voluntary employment. It also has two transition workers who highlight the work opportunities open to youngsters in special education on leaving school.
Mr Mandelson, visited KFC at Hartlepool Marina, the Middleton Grange Shopping Centre and the Tesco supermarket, who are all working in partnership with Employment Link, Social Services and the Tees and North Yorkshire NHS Trust
