A PRIVATE Darlington hospital is to meet health chiefs to discuss the impact of a single vaccination clinic.
GPs in Darlington are concerned that they are being kept in the dark over which of their patients have received single jabs for mumps, measles and rubella.
The problem escalated last weekend as hundreds more children were vaccinated at the second MMR clinic to be held at Woodlands Hospital, Morton Park.
Next week the chairman of Darlington Primary Care Group will meet the chief executive of Woodlands to discuss the impact of the controversial clinic and pave the way for the flow of information.
Dr Harry Byrne, of Neasham Road Surgery, is a board member of Darlington PCG. At last week's meeting, he said the situation needed addressing urgently.
He said: "No information is going out to GPs regarding the clinic and no information is being sent to GPs telling them if any of their patients have been vaccinated singly.
"We need to know if children on our lists are due for the MMR or if they are undergoing single vaccinations."
The PCG chairman, Richard Harker, will meet Ann Rhodes on Tuesday, to discuss the impact of the clinic, run by London-based health group Direct Health 2000.
He said: "Woodlands Hospital has told us it did not realise the impact this would have on the triple MMR vaccination rates or on doctors."
