A TAXI driver was beaten up by three men who then hijacked the cab and set fire to it nearby.
The driver had been cleaning out the inside of his taxi at 1.30am yesterday, in Allendale Road, Spencer Beck, Middlesbrough, when he was attacked by the men and left with a bloody nose.
One of his attackers brandished a stanley knife and was about 6ft 2in tall and wore a light blue top. Another was about 5ft 2in tall.
The cab, which was owned by Euro Taxis, was found burnt out near Overfields Primary School.
