Darlington Building Society NYSD Premier League. Champions Guisborough, who won for the first time on Monday, visit Blackhall and although the Collierymen have made an inauspicious start, a close result is anticipated.

Blackhall welcome the return of vice-captain Stephen Sargeant and Paul Moss but both Gavin Watts and Graham Bell are unavailable.

Guisborough, who have not lost since August 2000, are unchanged after recording their first victory of the season against Darlington in Monday's programme.

They will be hoping that Paul Goodchild and Phil Ramage repeat the form which earned them half-centuries in the last game.

Darlington, who won their first two fixtures before losing to Guisborough on Monday, have an attractive game at Feethams, where Richmondshire are visitors.

With Danny Morgans ruled out, Lee Hutton is included in the home side for whom Neil Pratt and Mark Stainsby were among the runs at Guisborough.

Richmondshire also keep changes to a minimum. Robbie Barker has returned to university and Eddie Prentiss wins promotion from the seconds.

The performance of the respective professionals will be closely monitored. Pakinstani Hani-ur-Rehman has made a good start with Darlington, as has Australian Michael Ponter for Richmond.

Northallerton will miss Richard Chandler for their home fixture with Marske. His five-wicket return was the feature of his side's victory at Blackhall last weekend and there is further disappointing news as captain Ian Gill and John Place are also absentees.

Professional Jonathan Barnes will lead the side, Dennis Norman will keep wicket and both Daniel Luck and Ian Place are named.

James Riley will be travelling up from Sheffield to play for Marske and both Adam Pattison and Vinod Nair are included as Stewart McKay, John Wiltshire and Neil Coverdale are not available.

Darlington RA visit Redcar unable to call upon Stephen Russell, who has broken a bone in his hand. Mark Eyles, who has performed well with the bat in the second team, takes over. Andy Wetherall and Andy Hassack are two changes in the Redcar line-up and the pair replace Colin Bainbridge and Steve Law.

Saltburn professional Mauhtashim Rashid picked up an injury to his finger but is expected to play in a full-strength side when Normanby Hall are visitors.

The seasiders' hopes of taking 20 points were thwarted on Monday when Thornaby were well adrift of their target when bad light stopped play.

The Hall miss Graham Robinson, who suffered a finger injury last weekend, and his place goes to the returning Craig Addison. Mohamed Zahid is another of the new professionals who has made an instant hit with his club but he will need to produce a five-star performance if the Hall are to profit today.

Thornaby show no change when they entertain Middlesbrough, who have James Lowe and Lee Allen coming in for Mike Gear and Michael Cook. The pair revert to the second team.

Wolviston, with one draw and two defeats in three outings, face another difficult task at home to Hartlepool. Mark Christon for Ian Brooksbanks is their only change and Pool also make just one alteration with opening bowler Ian Palmer, who is working.
