School Reunion: A reunion of pupils who attended St Cuthbert's School, in Crook, will take place at Crook Football Club on Friday, September 6, at 7.30pm.
The reunion is being organised by former pupil Harold Stephenson, and anyone wishing to attend should let him know by Tuesday, August 6.

Glass Painting: The Worker's Educational Association, in partnership with the 2d community volunteers service, are holding a glass painting taster class on Thursday, August 8, from 10am to 3pm, at Unit 4 in the Crook Business Centre, New Road.
A free buffet lunch is provided and childcare is available. Telephone Anne on (01388) 762220 if you need childcare or have any special requirements. The registration fee is £1.
Country Music: Crook Cricket Club is holding a country music evening on Saturday, with line dancers welcome. Admission costs £2 at the door
