The competition has been badly affected by the weather and for the fourth successive week some matches were abandoned early when rain arrived.

In the Under-13 section the North Yorkshire ACC defeated the Forster's Northumberland and Tyneside Senior League by three wickets. Andy Smith hit one six and six boundaries in 52 compiled from 81 deliveries when the N and T League posted 119 for five. Responding the North Yorks ACC reached the target with seven wickets in tact as Wilson struck six boundaries in 36, Harris found the line on seven occasions contributing 25 and Tebbett had a six and three fours scoring 24 not out.

The following day both games at Under-15 level went ahead. The N and T League gained revenge over their North Yorks ACC opponents winning a low scoring game by four wickets.

Conley had one six and three boundaries in 33 made from 31 bowles when the NY ACC totalled 96 all out. Burnopefield's Lee Stoneman claimed three wickets for 24 runs in 5.3 overs and Philip Bates had three for 15 from a seven overs spell. Stuart McPhail returned two for 20 in six overs and Kevin Dixon two for nine in seven overs.

In reply the N and T lost six wickets before securing the necessary runs and they were indebted to Craig Burke who recorded five boundaries carrying his bat for 38 compiled from as many deliveries. Hutchinson was the pick of the NY ACC attack claiming three of the six wickets to fall for 12 runs in five overs.

The Premier Sports Durham Coast League defeated the Readers Durham County league by 109 runs. The Hylton pair Chris Allen (45) and Brian Conlon (46) contributed most of the runs in the Coast League total of 169 for nine. Wilkinson took three for 32, Hall two for 21 and Atkinson two for 25 for the County league who were all out for just 60 as Dawdon's Steve Gale returned the outstanding figures of five for 14.
