ICE WALK: After the ice! Post Glacial Landscape around Riddlehamhope is an eight mile walk being led by geographer and geologist Maurice Holliday at 10am on Friday, September 6 from the Baybridge Picnic Site at Blanchland.
SAFE PLAY: The Delves Lane Community Association Play Park is set in a safe child friendly environment. It has gated access and no dogs are allowed. There is disabled access, a first aid point, talk-ing litter bins and picnic area. Sessions cost 50p and it is open from 10am to 9pm daily. For details call (01207) 583174.
BAND DATE: The Consett Salvation Army Band is giving a concert from 2.30pm on Sunday, September 1 in the bandstand of Blackhill and Consett Heritage Park.
