RESIDENTS are invited to support Saturday's launch of a project to brighten up life in their Wear Valley villages.
The Coundon and Leeholme Community Project has its base at 13 Tees Walk where a busy programme gets under way at 1pm.
Visitors can find out about what the scheme has to offer and take part in sports, games and activities for all ages.
The project is funded by One NorthEast through a Settlement Renewal Initiative, the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund and by Wear Valley District Council. BT Connections have given computer equipment.
