A THREE-YEAR-OLD mongrel called Ben is looking for a new home.
Ben was given to the National Animal Sanctuary Support League (NASSL) in Darlington after its owners separated.
Pauline Wilson, from NASSL, said: "It is the same old story a family split-up and the dog is surplus to requirements.
"He has been with us a while because he is not the prettiest dog but he is lovely. He is fine with other animals and children. If he is given the time he will give a lot back. He will make an ideal, loyal and loving pet."
