POLICE are trying to trace a grey Porsche 944, registration RTG 74, stolen from outbuildings near Barton between 8pm on Tuesday and 8am yesterday.
BREAK-INS: Cars were raided in Durham Way South, on the Newton Aycliffe Industrial Estate, on Tuesday. A Goodmans CD player was stolen from a car at Thrislington Engineering, a Kenwood CD player and speakers from a vehicle on the roadside, and a Sony CD radio player from a Vauxhall Astra at South West Durham Training.
JCB TAKEN: A JCB mechanical digger stolen on Tuesday from roadworks on the A66 was found near the Stapleton to Cleasby underpass, beneath the A66(M) south of Darlington.
WITNESS APPEAL: Police are appealing for witnesses after an attempted theft at the Morrison's supermarket in Bob Hardisty Drive, Bishop Auckland, overnight on Monday.
CAR DESTROYED: A Ford Scorpio was destroyed after vandals set fire to it in Aldfrid Place, Newton Aycliffe, at 11pm on Tuesday.
