A TEENAGER was given the chance to make his dream become a reality when he landed his perfect job.
Anthony Peacock, 15, from Hartlepool, won a day as a DJ courtesy of Galaxy 105-106 and Education Action Zone (EAZ).
After winning the competition, Anthony spent the day with Galaxy's evening presenter, Dave Kelly, and was shown how to drive a radio desk and was taught the fundamentals of presenting and broadcasting, in his quest to become a radio presenter.
He said: "It was totally different to what I expected. Everyone was very chilled out and made me feel very welcome."
Other dream jobs on offer were to be programme director at Galaxy for the day, stand on parade with the Army at the Queen's Jubilee celebrations, work as a graphic designer or become a video production assistant.
Judy Hooton, of EAZ, said: "Our young people are very talented and able to achieve great things if we continue to encourage and believe in them.
"This is yet another innovative opportunity created through the partnership of zones and local businesses which demonstrates that belief."
