NEXT week sees the start of Yarm Fair and police would like to remind drivers that diversions will be in place.
From 6pm to 10pm on Tuesday, when the fair arrives, and from 6pm to midnight from Thursday until Saturday, vehicles will be able to use the rear of the High Street from Bentley Wynd through Bridge Street and West Street. However, it will be closed to lorries, which must use the diversions on the A19.
A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: "Police will endeavour to reduce the bottleneck, which caused problems last year, by strictly enforcing parking procedures."
