DRIVERS faced long delays at the weekend, after a man died in a car crash.
The 31-year-old, who has not been named, was killed when his Renault Clio collided with a Ford Transit van on the A1, five miles south of Alnwick, Northumberland, at 4.20pm on Sunday.
His passenger, a 34-year-old woman, was treated for whiplash injuries at Wansbeck Hospital. The 44-year-old van driver suffered minor injuries.
