Wearmouth Bridge, in Sunderland, will remain open to traffic today, to avoid disruption during the match-day traffic arrangements prior to tonight's Sunderland versus Bolton FA Cup third round replay at the Stadium of Light.
Meanwhile, public transport operator Nexus is advising fans travelling on the Metro to take advantage of a daysaver ticket, allowing unlimited travel on the network after 6pm, for £1.50. Following the game fans heading northbound are asked to use the Stadium Metro station, while those travelling southwards are advised to head for St Peter's Station.
