A PRIME site on Whitby's harbourside looks set to be redeveloped with shops and flats despite opposition from town councillors.
W Eves and Company wants to demolish its petrol filling station and garage in New Quay Road to make way for the scheme.
Planning officials are recommending next week's meeting of the northern area planning committee approve the development.
