PEOPLE in Richmondshire are being urged to ensure they are on the electoral register before the local elections on May 1.
Anyone who has moved to the district or moved house since October 15 should have notified the council.
Only those on the register are eligible to vote. The deadline for making an application is on Tuesday, March 11.
Forms are available from the Register Help Line on (01748) 829121, or via the Richmondshire District Council website at www.richmondshire.gov.uk. First-time voters whose 18th birthday is before May 1 are also advised to check if they are on the register.
