A Darlington business complex is sponsoring a student art competition.
The Lingfield Point complex, in McMullen Road, is asking students to draw inspiration from the site, and the history of Darlington as a whole, to create their artwork.
About 40 first-year art students at Darlington College of Technology, aged between 16 and 19, are eligible to take part in the competition.
Lingfield Point has a rich history as the former home of Paton and Baldwins, wool manufacturer, before a recession in the industry forced its closure.
The site was later redeveloped into a business park with the help of a £16m cash injection from the its owners, the Marchday Group.
The competition has two sections - art and photography - with Lingfield Point offering £250 for the winner of each section.
Eddie Humphries, estates manager for Lingfield Point, said: "Last year's competition was a huge success, with some excellent entries, many of which are now on display in Lingfield House. With a wide theme to work on this year, we are looking forward to seeing some more brilliant work this time round."
Donna Slyfield, programme leader at the college, said: "Our students are raring to go with this year's competition. They have the whole town to use as a blank canvas for their skills."
