A GROUP of Stockton youngsters will be representing the North in a national acrobatics competition after winning the regional title at the weekend.
Ailsa Pitt, 17, Nikki Wilson, 17 and Lyndsey Irish, ten, won the Trio Competition, in which teams perform balances, tempo throws and moves to music.
The three were members of a team of 14 from Hemlington Gymnastics Club, which took part in the National Development Plan's Regional Grades competition, at South Shields.
They will now go on to represent the region at the National Sports Acrobatics Competition in Stoke on March 22.
Club coach Charlotte Wilkinson said: "It is a great honour for the girls to represent the region and I am sure they will do themselves proud in Stoke.
