A COMMUNITY group in is providing training for cabbies to help them pass a controversial test.
The Cockerton and Branksome Living Enterprise (Cable), in Darlington, is running courses for would-be and existing taxi drivers to get them through the taxi driving standards test, which was introduced by the borough council last year.
On the course, qualified driving instructors help people assess their awareness on the roads through a computer programme.
The course is held every Thursday from 1pm to 3pm. For more information, phone (01325) 354084.
