THREE people are helping police with their inquiries after police seized a sawn-off shotgun and drugs from a house on Teesside.

The two men and a woman were arrested after Cleveland Police, executing a warrant, raided a house in Warwick Street, Middlesbrough.

A spokeswoman for the force said officers from Middlesbrough's dedicated drugs squad recovered "a large amount of cash" from the house, along with the weapon and small quantities of cannabis, heroin and crack cocaine.

The shotgun has been sent to specialist laboratories for forensic examination.

The trio, who are all aged in their twenties, have been released on police bail, pending further inquiries.
