A Darlington brass band has swept the board in a county-wide championship contest.
Cockerton Band won the Durham League (B section) competition, held in Spennymoor on Sunday.
The band won the C section last year and were promoted into the B section for this year's championships.
Not only did the band take the winner's shield, it also won every other trophy in the section, which saw the oldest and youngest members of the band take to the stage to receive their trophies.
Charlie Harrison, a member of the band for more than 70 years, received the trophy for the best horn section.
The band's youngest member Beth Steel, 15, was presented with the best percussion award.
John Liversedge, took the prize for best cornet and Cockerton's conductor, Graham Catherall, was awarded the best conductor's trophy.
The band's next appearance will be the Area Finals in Darlington's Dolphin Centre on March 15.
