A PRESENTATION about an award-winning charity is to be brought to the region next week.
The international children's relief agency Global Care is to present its work with children around the world to supporters and other organisations, a week on Saturday.
The Christian charity was named Charity of the Year by a London business organisation, and one of its patrons, the writer Fiona Castle, will be at the roadshow, in Durham.
Mrs Castle is the widow of television personality Roy Castle, who hosted BBC1's Record Breakers programme for many years.
The multimedia roadshow is travelling around Britain and contains presentations, displays, live music and guest appearances by celebrities and dignitaries.
The event, called Making a Difference, will take place at Elvet Methodist Church, in Old Elvet, Durham, at 4pm.
Tickets are free and can be ordered from Global Care, on 024-7660 1800.
