Closed championships to be held at the Seaburn Centre, Whitburn road, Sunderland on Sunday March 2 2002. Play commences at 9.30am and finishes by 5.30pm.
Events are: 1 Under 11 singles (born on or after January 2 1992). 2 Under 13 singles (born on or after January 2 2990). 3 Under 15 singles (Cadets) (born on or after January 2 1988). 4 Under 18 singles (Juniors) (born on or after January 2 1985). 5 Open singles. 6 Ladies singles. 7 Veterans singles. (over 40 on June 30, 2002). 8 Over 66 singles. (over 55 on June 30, 2002). 9 Open doubles. 10 Mixed doubles. 11 Class 2 singles. (non seeded player in open singles).
Results: Division One Boldon CA 2, Silksworth CC A 8; Seaburn Dene NC 7, West CA A 3; Silksworth CC C 6, Silksworth CC B 4; St Gabriels A 3, Boldon CA 7.
