MORE than 80 youngsters have been proving there is more to school than just maths and English.
Pupils from Sowerby Community Primary joined the Royal British Legion training band for a concert at the school.
Parents and friends were treated to an exciting programme of music, song and dance, varying from orchestral to swing.
Concert organiser Debbie Whitfield said: "The idea was to make people aware that music is an important part of school life. In some people's minds it takes a back seat on the curriculum and we were reminding people about what it is and what it can do."
