THE Shildon town carnival will take place on Saturday, June 14, in the town's Hackworth Park, it has been announced.
A wide variety of entertainment is planned for all the family, including Richmond Town Pipes and Drums, six-a-side football, Prince Bishop Falconry and Shildon Jubilees Juvenile Jazz Band.
There will also be a dance and music marquee, children's entertainer, Ben and Jet the Police dogs and old-fashioned games.
Sites are still available for displays or sales of works by local voluntary or community groups and trade stalls.
